My childhood Walt Disney World Resort experience consisted of one long weekend family trip when I was in sixth grade. My parents bought me Birnbaum’s 1997 Walt Disney World Guide and I poured over the pages and photographs of this magical vacation land. I had an itinerary, a touring plan, and I got my first wonderful taste of the Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. My sister and I loved Star Tours and rode it three times!
While I had incredibly fun trips as an adult, including a delicious trip to Epcot International Food and Wine Festival for our first wedding anniversary, my true appreciation for all things Disney has grown exponentially since the birth of my daughter. Her love for the classic Disney characters, as well as new classics like Anna and Elsa, prompted us to take her to Walt Disney World for the first time as an infant. Seeing her absolute joy when she got to meet Mickey Mouse had us hooked.
The planning of that first family trip prompted me to once again throw myself into the complex world of Disney trip planning, but online this time instead of with a guide and a highlighter. I loved the process of researching the best restaurants to use Dining Plan credits, the best rides for Fast Passes and tips for maximizing our time in the parks. Trying to navigate even the basics of vacation packages can be overwhelming for those new to Disney, let alone getting into Advanced Dining Reservations and touring strategies. I began planning trips for my friends and family, and realized that I wanted to expand my knowledge and turn this hobby into something more.
As I’ve explored the incredible range of vacation options through Disney, I’m amazed over and over at the attention to detail and the commitment to service at all levels. Every family deserves to experience their magical Disney dream vacation, and it is my goal to help my clients get the most out of their time at any Disney destination!
